the nature of civilization is much like a tree. it starts off as an idea, a seed. it then grows in most delicate ways carefully attended to by the forces. when it falls and crashes to the forest floor, it disintegrates slowly. the earth absorbs it until even the little bits and pieces are eaten up by the cosmic mother. and from the absorption grows other trees. other civilizations sprout up from the bits of the old. the cycle of civilizations continues in much the same way.
