Education in a New Era

Sir Ken Robinson makes a compelling argument here when he tells us our education system is no longer serving us. Around 1:11 he reminds us that in his time they were told the story when he was in school that you worked hard, stayed in school, and got a job. As we learn around 2:35 , the current model of public education fed into the idea of the separating notion of upper and lower stratas of society, what we can call the caste system. This system holds in place ideas that keep poverty where it is today, with many children from poorer families not knowing their place in the world today. We need to be able to be  to shift in our way of thinking to a new paradigm, and this is just one example of that need today.

In this next video is a Shri Mateji's experiment with truth guided meditation dedicated to our centre of learning, our mind's eye chakra. What do the teachings of ascended masters like Jesus, Abraham, and Moses tell us about our education system? These are much different teachings than what we are learning in the West today. How can education be enriched from the perspective of peace?

A Dedication to Istanbul

I did start this blog off with Istanbul in my mind in light of recent events. One of my intentions with this blog is to shine a greater light upon the people of this city, so that further conflict is given a chance to be solved within, rather than seeking it without. I imagine all of the yogis practicing yoga in the park during the course of such violent events. It reminds us to be still and peaceful within ourselves amid a world of chaos. Peace is the only answer in the face of darkness. Peace be upon you as you enjoy a virtual tour of Turkey.

It is interesting to 'follow' this person around on his travels through Turkey. I must say though, I had the video muted for all of the videos in his series as I had music playing in the background.
